Tootsie Club is one of the most well-known nightclubs in Kyiv. The client wanted to refresh its identity and digital presence to match modern trends and stand out in a highly competitive nightlife market. Our task was to develop a design concept that conveyed the club’s atmosphere of drive, luxury, and temptation – while keeping it modern, stylish, and sophisticated. The scope included a complete redesign of the existing website and a new identity that captured the essence of Kyiv’s nightlife.
Challenges
At the beginning, we held a series of meetings with the client to better understand their needs and expectations. The client emphasized the importance of creating a design that would grab attention and reflect the modern spirit of Kyiv’s nightlife.
The nightclub scene in Kyiv is saturated with strong competitors. We identified several problems with Tootsie Club’s existing identity: the old logo and branding looked outdated, the visual communication was overloaded and lacked structure, and competitors such as Dolls and Princess had already adopted simpler, more effective solutions with clean websites and strong photography.
Design
We started with a competitor analysis, reviewing the websites and identities of other clubs. We discovered that modern nightlife branding relies on two pillars: “premium minimalism” and strong visuals – avoiding vulgarity and excessive detail.
Next, we developed a new identity concept. We retained the recognizable crown but integrated it into the letter “і”. A wave element was added to the letter “о” to symbolize the balance of emotional intensity and relaxation, shifting the mood from cliché to a more “dancing” vibe. The visual language was built on a black-and-red palette with white accents, evoking passion and a premium feel.
We then designed the concept for the homepage. The structure included clear sections: about the club, gallery, testimonials, and booking. This approach allowed the focus to remain on content – atmospheric photos, videos, and guest stories – instead of overwhelming users with excessive text or irrelevant details.
Solution
As part of the concept, we proposed a modernized logo design that could easily adapt to different formats – from outdoor advertising to social media. We developed a full identity system with patterns and graphic elements (crowns, glasses, lips), creating a cohesive visual style that matched the club’s desired image.
We also produced an animated prototype of the website concept, reflecting the club’s atmosphere through a visual narrative: bold imagery, high contrast, minimal text, and maximum emotion. In addition, we worked on a marketing strategy, mapping the path from a unique value proposition to SMM communication and launching SEO promotion tools.
Results
We created a comprehensive concept that highlighted Tootsie Club’s uniqueness and positioned it strongly among competitors. With the new design, the club gained a modern, recognizable image that combines premium aesthetics with the energy of nightlife.
The project demonstrated how competitor analysis, identity design, web design, and marketing can be combined into a holistic approach that creates value not only visually but also strategically for the business.
This project was successful thanks to our flexibility and ability to adapt to evolving client requirements. We delivered a design that met the client’s expectations and helped Tootsie Club stand out in Kyiv’s competitive nightlife scene.
